Festivals, community initiatives, charity campaigns – they may not mean big money but you learn valuable skills and make useful contacts, and employers are increasingly looking to these additional activities on a CV to set candidates apart. Just as young people can often struggle to find work to get involved in, these community and third-sector groups can also find it difficult to interest volunteers -so we’d like this site to be a place where the two can come together. Open Society lead by Annie Broadbent and Maxim Lester is something even further, it is a society of young people who are determined to support each other, practically and emotionally.
